Republic Services will provide recycling containers (22-gallon bin, 35- or 65-gallon rolling containers) and household waste containers (65-gallon rolling trashcan). If Fairland Towns HOA homeowners are in need of recycling or waste containers, please contact the Republic Services’ Customer Service Center at 703-818-8222, and indicate that you are with Fairland Towns HOA. They will bring the container out to you at no cost to the homeowner. If Republic Services damages the old container from wear and tear use, they will replace the container at no cost to the homeowner. (ALL recycling and household waste containers still must be stored either in the garage or in the rear yard of the residence.)
Trash pickup takes place on Tuesdays and Fridays. Recycle pickup is on Wednesdays. Please put trash and or recycle containers out the night before after 8:00 p.m.
Bulk Pickup Items: Republic Services will collect furniture and other large, non-metal, non-commercial household items placed on the curb at no extra charge. These items include but are not limited to Sofa (depending on size/weight), Chairs, Tables, Small TV’s, Cribs, Mattresses, Bed Frames, Small Kitchen Appliances, Shelves, etc. Residents are limited to bulk items equivalent to 2 cubic yards or 4’ x 4’ x 4’. Bulk item pickup should be prescheduled for the 2nd trash pickup day (Friday). Please contact the Republic Services’ Customer Service Center at 703-818-8222.
Special Pickup Items: Containers of bundles weighing more than 50 pounds, longer than 4 feet in length, or commercial construction debris will not be collected as household trash. Please call the Customer Service Center to put in a request to have a Residential Supervisor survey the material for a quote. This survey and removal of the debris will be billed to you.
